Youth AIDS

In 2005 Sigma Phi Epsilon, being the largest national fraternity, partnered with Youth AIDS to create an HIV/AIDS awareness program for college campuses.  Over 100 SigEp chapters nationwide have contributed to this cause raising more than $320,000.

Our chapter, SC Alpha, hosts an annual Benefit Concert to raise money for Youth AIDS.  This Benefit Concert is planned out by our VP Community Relations and his committee.  At our Benefit Concert you can hear live music and win cool raffle prizes!

Benefit Concert

The SC Alpha chapter raises money for the awareness and prevention of HIV/AIDS by hosting its annual benefit concert each spring.  Last year, we raised over $1,000 at The Loose Cockaboose.  The night was entertained by Reggae Infinity, a popular reggae band that plays all over the SEC.  Raffle prizes were drawn and 4 people won a total in over $400 in prizes!

Check back with us next spring for more details on our next Benefit Concert!

SigEp and other Philanthropies

Philanthropies are a big part of all greek organizations, not just ours.  We try and participate in every philanthropy we can on campus.  It is a good way to help out other fraternity and sororities as well as do some good in the community.

Community Service

Our chapter offers community service opportunities for those brothers who wish to take advantage of them.  This is a great way to get community service hours in.  We usually will pair up with a sorority who is also interested in doing community service, which turns into a great way to meet new people.
